"What very popular and hyped book in the blogosphere did you not enjoy and how did you feel about posting your review?"
I can't think of any popular books I have read lately and haven't liked, actually. I seem to only read some books after some of the hype around them has settled down a little and I try not to let the fact a lot of people liked it cloud my judgment. I just started reading Fallen by Lauren Kate and, even though I know a lot of people liked it, I can't say I'm enjoying it very much right now.
When it comes to the review, even if I didn't like a popular book, I would still say so. I'd give my honest opinion and try to explain exactly why I didn't like that book. What's the point lying about something you didn't like?

This week's question is:
"What do you do besides reading/ reviewing as a hobby?"
Well, I like to write when I have some free time. Also, I enjoy playing tennis very much.

ReplyDeleteHey Carla! Thank so much for the follow. Just stopping by to return the favor and become a follower.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Fallen just isn't that great. Honestly, the thing that drove me nuts the most was Luce's tendency to tell us how beautiful Daniel is EVERY time she saw him. Halfway through the book, I was like OKAY! He's HOT! I GOT IT! LOL.
I can't wait to read your review of Fallen.
Happy Hop!
Hopping through. I used to play tennis when I was a kid. I'd like to get back into it.

Hi There!
ReplyDeleteI'm an old follower dropping by for FF. I think you have joined the rather large "I'm not so impressed by Fallen" group. That is the book that has been mentioned over and over today!
Found you on the Blog hop :) new follower! i love your blog... super cute! I just recently started mine but I hope one day it looks as good as yours! keep up the good work!

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I am a new follower.
ReplyDeleteMy hobbies outside of reading and reviewing are knitting, crocheting, rescue puppies, baking, movie watching with my hubby, stitching, writing YA.
The book series that was supposed to be so great that I just couldn't stand was the Left Behind series. I tried. Really. The writing was so awful it was impossible to get past it.
I am currently having issue with one of my Holiday Challenge books. Two Tickets to the Christmas Ball. Religion is constantly tossed at you and it turned me off in a big way. I think it is a private thing and don't like being preached at. Ugh.
Best,
Dana @ Bookgirl in the Kitchen
