Top Ten Tuesday - Top Ten All Time Favorite Authors

This is definitely a hard list to make. There are many authors out there I love and to narrow it down to just 10 seemed like an impossible task but here's what I came up with.

Top Ten All Time Favorite Authors

1 - Jane Austen. Jane Austen is definitely one of my favorite authors. Persuasion still stands as one of my favorite books of all time. Jane Austen knew how to describe the peculiarities of the society she lived in like no one else.

2 - Agatha Christie. Agatha Christie definitely had to be on this list. I love mystery and no one writes a mystery quite like this Lady. Her books are full of plot twists and interesting characters. The peculiar, little Monsieur Hercule Poirot is one of my favorite characters

3 - Sir. Artur Conan Doyle.  As I said before, I'm a big fan of mystery so is not wonder Sir. Artur Conan Doyle is on this list. Sherlock Holmes, that's all I have to say! :)

4 - J.K. Rowling. I grew up reading Harry Potter and anxiously waiting for the next book or movie. Great characters, interesting plots and a world of magic are the reasons why J.K. Rowling is on this list.

5 - J.R.R. Tolkien. The intricate world this man created while writing The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings is simply amazing. These books are some of my favorites.

6 - Charlotte Bronte. I remember reading Jane Austen for the first time and thinking it was a wonderful story about two people who are not always easy to love or understand.

7 - Jill Shalvis. The first book by Jill Shalvis was Simply Irresistible. Someone gave me the book and I decided to read it and was immediately hooked. Jill Shalvis writes great contemporary romances and when I need something light, funny and well-written I know I can just pick one of her books up and be entertained for a while.

8 - Jennifer L. Armentrout. Books by Jennifer L. Armentrout or J. Lynn are always fun and interesting. The author always creates characters I want to read more and more about.

9 - Maggie Stiefvater. In recent years te Raven Cycle series became one of my favorites. The books are extremely well-written and the plot is so intricate I can't help but to love it.

10 - Lorraine Zago Rosenthal. Other Words For Love stuck with me for a long time after I finished reading it and, for this reason, Lorraine Zago Rosenthal deserves a place on this list.

There are many other authors I love and who deserved to be on this list but since I could only pick 10 I had to compromise!

What about you? Can you choose your all time favorite authors?
