Review:
I have received this book as part of a blog tour in
exchange of an honest review.
After discovering her fiancé was cheating on her
with her cousin, Sam kicks him out and is determined to build her life without
him no matter how many times he tries to get back to her.
After seeing Sam at a mutual friends’ house, Wes is
immediately interested in her. The problem is Sam doesn’t want to get involved
with anyone. She is determined to keep her heart guarded and safe.
I thought Sam was a good main character. Once she
decided she wouldn’t take her fiancé back she stuck with her decision even when
her mother insisted she should forgive him. She was determined and easy to
understand and even relate to.
Wes is also a great character. He’s sweet, fun and
an all-around nice guy. I liked the fact he didn’t give up on Sam and was
willing to help her.
Allison and Mitch are also very good characters and
even better friends who helped Sam when she needed them the most.
Guarded Heart is a fast and sweet read. The book is
well-written and even though I thought the transitions between scenes could be
a little better I still quite enjoyed it. The romance is good and I the
characters quite likeable.
All in all, Guarded Heart is a good read and if you
like romance, give this book a try!
