Review:
I have received this book as part of a blog tour in
exchange of an honest review.
When the last year of college starts, Emilia’s friend makes her promise she will finally enjoy herself and spend a little less time in the library. Emilia agrees to do it and that’s exactly when she meets Logan Prescott.
Even though she’s attracted to him, Emilia decides she wants to stay as far away from the rich and charming playboy. Logan is determined to sweet Emilia off her feet, though and his persistence pays off when Emilia decides to give him a chance. Unfortunately, their pasts might prove to be an obstacle to their growing relationship.
Emilia is the main character of the book. I wanted to have been able to connect with her but I didn’t find it easy to do it. Although smart and a hard-worker, Emilia is extremely insecure and her low self-esteem bugged me a little sometimes. I wanted to believe in herself a little bit more.
Logan is definitely my favourite character. He might be a rich playboy but he’s not your average rich playboy. He’s sweet, fun and understanding and I loved the fact he did little things for Emilia. He was romantic without being over-the-top. He didn’t use his money to woo her, instead he did little sweet things for her like pack her lunch.
I enjoyed the relationship between Emilia and Logan and the fact she didn’t immediately fall into his arms, even though she really wanted to. Logan had to win Emilia over and I enjoyed reading about his attempts to do so.
All in all, Running From Romeo is a fun, romantic story. The book is well-written and fast-paced and the character and their problems were able to keep me entertained.
I didn’t see that ending coming so I’ll definitely pick up book number 2 when it comes out so I can find out what will happen.
If you enjoy an interesting romantic story, give this one a try!
