Author Weekend - Abbi Glines

This weekend on the blog is all about Abbi Glines!
I'll post reviews, a interview with Abbi and one with Dank from Existence, plus a giveaway!

Author's Profile:

"Abbi Glines can be found hanging out with rockstars, taking out her yacht on weekends for a party cruise, sky diving, or surfing in Maui. Okay maybe she needs to keep her imagination focused on her writing only. In the real world, Abbi can be found hauling kids (several who seem to show up that don’t belong to her) to all their social events, hiding under the covers with her MacBook in hopes her husband won’t catch her watching Buffy on Netflix again, and sneaking off to Barnes and Noble to spend hours lost in the yummy goodness of books. Her debut novel, BREATHE, can be found in digital format at Barnes and Noble and Amazon. Existence, a YA paranormal, was released December 13, 2011 by Wild Child Publishing. She also released a YA contemporary romance, The Vincent Boys this Fall. In February she released her first New Adult contemporary  Because of Low. And she is editing the second book in the Existence Trilogy. This June she will release the second book on The Vincent Boys series - The Vincent Brothers. If you want to find her then check Twitter first because she has a severe addiction to tweeting @abbiglines.   Facebook and Google +  are some of her other stomping grounds. She also blogs regularly but rarely about anything life changing. She also really enjoys talking about herself in third person."

But instead, he’s jerked right back to the coastal town of Sea Breeze, Alabama due to a family crisis. His dear ol' dad found himself a girlfriend only a few years older than Marcus. So now his sister needs help dealing with their mother who is mentally falling apart. The only bright spot to returning is the fascinating red head who sleeps over several times a week. The problem is she's sleeping in bed with his new roommate, Cage Watson.

Willow “Low” Foster needs a place to live. Running to Cage’s apartment every time her sister kicks her out isn’t exactly a long term solution. Juggling her courses at the local community college and a part time job doesn’t produce excess income. But Cage has a new roommate and suddenly sleeping over at her best friend’s apartment isn’t such a bad thing. Not when she gets to see those sexy green eyes of Marcus Hardy’s twinkle when he smiles at her like he wants her there.
Even though Cage seems a little territorial where Low is concerned, Marcus finds time to spend with Low without upsetting his roommate. Cage may use his small college baseball star persona to sleep with every hot female in his path but he’s still under the disillusion that when he’s through sowing his wild oats, he’s going to marry Low. Marcus intends to change that assumption for both Cage and Low. Until his carefully laid plans come crashing down with a revelation he never expected. He’ll have to choose between Low or his family. Because once the truth comes out.... there’s no other choice.

Title and Author: While It Lasts
Publisher: Kindle Edition
Publication Date: July 31st, 2012
Paperback/Hardcover:
Genre: Young Adult

Maybe driving home after a few (or more) shots of tequila had been a bad idea, but hell, he did it all the time. The cops had to have been freaking bored to have pulled him over. He wasn’t even swerving! That’s Cage York’s story and he’s sticking to it.
Unfortunately, his baseball coach isn’t buying it. Cage has a free ride to the local junior college for baseball -- or he did, until he’d gotten a DUI. Now, Cage has to decide: does he drop out and give up his dream of getting noticed by a college in the SEC, and possibly making it into the Major Leagues -- or does he give in to his coach’s demands and spend his summer bailing hay?
Eva Brooks planned out her life step by step when she was eight years old. Not once over the years had she lost sight of her goals. Josh Beasley, her next door neighbor, had been the center of those goals. He’d been her first boyfriend at seven, her first kiss at ten, her first date at fifteen, and her first tragedy at eighteen. The moment she’d received the phone call from Josh’s mother saying he’d been killed along with four other soldiers just north of Baghdad, Eva’s carefully planned life imploded in the worst way possible.
Cage isn’t real happy with his closet-sized bedroom in the back of a foul smelling barn, or his daily interactions with cows, but he knows that if he doesn’t make his coach happy then he can kiss his scholarship goodbye. Only a sick and twisted man would decide his punishment was to be working on a farm all summer. No hot babes in bikinis waiting to meet a Southern boy to make her vacation complete. Just him and the damned cows.
Oh -- and an uptight, snarky brunette with the biggest blue eyes he’s every seen. But she doesn’t count, because as hard as he’s tried to charm her out of her panties - he’s pretty sure she’d rather see him hung from the rafters than let him get a taste of her pretty little lips.

Title and Author: The Vincent Brothers
Publisher: Kindle Edition
Publication Date: Julne 5th, 2012
Paperback/Hardcover:
Genre: Young Adult

He may have given her up without a fight, but Sawyer Vincent is far from over losing the girl he’s loved all of his life. Instead of giving up his best friend and the girl he thought he’d spend forever with, he gave Ashton and his brother Beau his blessing. However, adjusting to seeing Ashton wrapped up in Beau’s arms isn’t easy. Complicating everything even more, Ashton’s cousin Lana is in town for the summer. Sweet, kind, soft-spoken Lana, who gets under his skin. Just being near her makes him forget all about Ashton and his broken heart. Lana is everything he wanted Ashton to be except she isn’t Ashton. She lacks the backbone to stand up for herself and confidence that Ashton wears like a crown.
Lana McDaniel has lived her life in her cousin's shadow. While Lana struggled with her grades no matter how hard she tried, her mother praised Ashton's intelligence. She hadn’t been blessed with Ashton’s blond hair and flawless skin, but that didn't keep her mother from lamenting her naturally red hair and freckles. But none of that would have mattered if Ashton hadn’t always had Sawyer Vincent wrapped around her finger -- the only boy Lana wanted. Once Ashton let Sawyer go, Lana had been so sure that he’d move on. Determined to make Sawyer finally see her, she'd talked her mother into letting her spend the summer with Ashton. But Sawyer is still in love with Ashton, and Lana isn’t going to be anyone's rebound girl. No matter how yummy Sawyer Vincent’s kisses taste.

Author Weekend

Today's posts are dedicated to author Josephine Angelini:

Author's Profile:

"I was supposed to be a boy.
At least, my mother was convinced I was going to be a boy when she was pregnant with me. She claimed that I "carried" like a boy, but since I'm the youngest of eight, and I have six sisters and only one beloved brother, it is reasonable to assume that my mother was simply suffering from a massive case of wishful thinking. Whatever the reasons, my parents were so convinced I was going to be a boy they had even decided on a boy name for me—Joseph.
But I'm a girl.
My mother, always a frugal woman, figured, why throw out a perfectly good name just because the gender's wrong? She put a handy "ine" on the end of Joseph, and I'm rather glad she did. I like my name, or at least I realize it could have been much worse. They could have been planning on calling me Ralph or something. Not much you can do with Ralph.
I grew up surrounded by women.
And not just normal, average women, either. My sisters are, without exaggeration, a pack of Amazons. They are all tall. They have masses of thick hair, gigantic smiles, ringing laughs, and unfortunately for me, they all have fiery tempers. You see—I'm not only the youngest, but the smallest as well. I also happen to be a natural wiseass. Not a healthy combination.
Lucky for me, I'm fast."

HELP - Author Weekend

Hello, how are you all?

So, as you know every weekend I choose one or two authors to talk about, post review, interviews and giveaways. It's fun getting to know a little bit more about the authors and their work!

It would be great if some of you would be willing to help me, though.
Below there's a list of all the authors I plan on blogging about. If anyone is interested in helping me by choosing an author from the list and writing a little post about that author or his/hers books, please let me know.
For instance, next weekend I'll blog about Sarah Dessen. Would anyone be interested in, for example, writing a post about her male characters and why they are so likeable?

If anyone is interested in helping me just comment here or send me an email letting me know which author or authors you would like to blog about. If you have a blog, please leave a link so I can check it out.

I don't want anyone to go to the trouble of helping me without receiving anything so I'll either try to have a little prize for everyone who helps me or organize a special giveaway only for who participates in this feature.

So, what do you think? Is anyone willing to help me?

Also, I’m sure I’m missing some great authors so if you can think of any author that should be on this list but is not, let me know!:)

Author Weekend Kickoff

Hello! How are you all?
Are you ready for a new feature? I sure hope you are!

This feature is, as you can tell by looking at the image above, called Author Weekend. Every weekend I’ll choose an author to talk about.

I’ll post book reviews, interviews, guest posts and giveaways! That means that not only will you (and me as well) be able to learn a little bit more about several authors, you can also win some books, swag and more.

Author weekend starts today and this weekend’s featured author is Jennifer Laurens! During the weekend you’ll be able to check out Jennifer’s books, read an interview and enter a cool giveaway.

I can also tell you that next weekend’s featured author will be Jill Shalvis.

I have a long list of authors I’ll blog about in the upcoming weekends but I would love it if you would tell me which authors you would like to read about. I’ll make sure to add them to my list. :)

I hope you’ll enjoy this new feature and stay tuned because Monday I’ll blog about yet another new feature!
Thank you!
