Review:
I have received this book from
the author in exchange of an honest review.
In Breaking the Devil’s Heart,
Layla and Stewart’s life change completely after they decide to recruit a demon
to spy on the demon and are taken on a ride through the afterlife.
The main characters in this
book are Layla and Stewart. They have been together in love in both the human
world and afterlife and after their deaths they decide to dedicate their
existence to the extermination of evil. They are interesting character, driven
by their purpose and whose faith and love are often tested.
What I really enjoyed was the
world created by the author and how that world works. Hell is actually a
company in this book and their goal is to sell this formula to the living so
they can be convinced to do anything the demons want.
The author definitely spent a
lot of time creating this world, adding details and making them interesting. As
I reader, I really appreciate that.
All in all, I enjoyed Breaking
the Devil’s Heart and thought it was an interesting and fast-paced story, with
good character, action and an intriguing concept. There’s an underlying message
to the story and it will make the reader think about good vs evil and the
consequences of our actions.
If you enjoy a good fantasy
story, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed by this book.
