Interview with Wendy Higgins Author of Sweet Evil and Sweet Peril (Sweet Trilogy)
Wendy Higgins was kind enough to answer a few of my questions about the Sweet Trilogy. I hope you enjoy this interview.
1 - Can you describe the Sweet Trilogy in 10 or less
words?
A
dark, sensual love story about the children of demons.
2 - What inspired you to write the series?
Life!
The struggle of light and darkness in each of us - the ability we each have to
choose good or evil, and all the gray area in between, and how we each have a
"vice" or "weakness" that sometimes gets us into trouble. I
wanted to explore all of that.
3 - Who would you say is the hardest character to write about and why?
Kaidan
Rowe is my most challenging character to write because he is so layered, yet so
closed off. He's a player and a jerk, but underneath that is a definite
vulnerability, and it was a delicate process to try and show all of that.
4 - If the Sweet trilogy ever became a movie/tv series who would you like to play your characters?
Kaidan
would definitely be played by Wade Poezyn! I see Olivia Holt as Anna.
And Lee Thompson as Kopano. :)
5 - What can you tell us about the next book in the series?
SWEET PERIL takes us on a journey
around the world. We get to know all of the Neph friends better, though we
don't see quite as much of Jay or Veronica in book 2. And there's kissing. Lots of kissing.
