Welcome back to Liberty, where
the women surrounding the town’s only restaurant are as charming as they are
eccentric
Review:
I have received this book from
the author in exchange of an honest review and after having read Treasure Me
(which I really enjoyed) I was curious and excited.
After losing her best friend
Dr. Mary Chance inherits Second Chance Grill. A strong-minded woman, she is
determined to turn the business around and make it profitable, even though she
has no real idea of what she should do.
She plans to go back to
Cincinnati and her carrer in a year but when she meets twelve years old cancer
survivor Blossom and her father Anthony, her plans might just change.
This book is filled with great
characters and strong women. Blossom is
a bit of a troublemaker but she can also be very determined, mature and strong.
Mary has gone through a lot and
the new challenge she is facing isn’t easy but she doesn’t give up, which makes
her a really good character.
Anthony is a good character as
well – sweet and reliable.
I enjoyed being able to read
about Liberty and the grill again. Second Chance Grill is an emotional, sexy,
sweet, fun and realistic story.
The book deals with some
important topic like illness and death in a very realistic and interesting way
that was able to keep me captivated.
All in all, I really enjoyed
this book and think Christine Nolfi did a great job creating such a realistic
and emotional story. Second Chance Grill is an interesting story with good and
strong characters.
