Summary:
A reluctant vampire hunter, stalking New York City as only a scorned bride can.

But those plans disintegrate when she walks in on a vampire sucking the blood from her fiancĂ©, Greg. Horrified, she screams and runs—not away from the vampire, but toward it, brandishing a wooden letter opener.
As she slams the improvised stake into the vampire’s heart, a team of black-clad men bursts into the apartment. Turning to face them, Elle realizes Greg’s body is gone—and her perfect life falls apart

Review:
I have received this book as part of a blog tour in exchange of an honest review.
I ended up really enjoying this book and the characters and I can’t wait to see what the author will do next.
This book has more of a classical take on vampires. They are the bad guys in this story – they bite humans for blood and they can’t go out in the daylight – and, after so many new takes vampires, I enjoyed this.
My favorite part of this book was probably Elle. She’s a wonderful heroine an I loved how strong, determined and smart she was. Her life changes completely one day but instead of breaking down she gathers her strength and fights back.
All in all, Legally Undead is a very interesting and well-written book with a kickass main character that was able to keep me interested in her story right from the start.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Review - Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins

Title: Fairy, Texas by Margo Bond Collins
Publisher: Solstice Shadows Publishing
Publication Date: February 6th, 2014
Paperback/Hardcover: 218
Genre: Fantasy
Find it at: Goodreads

Summary:
Fairy, Texas. A small town like any other.
Laney Harris didn't want to live there. When her mother remarried and moved them to a town where a date meant hanging out at the Sonic, Laney figured that "boring" would have a whole new meaning. A new stepsister who despised her and a high school where she was the only topic of gossip were bad enough. But when she met the school counselor (and his terminal bad breath), she grew suspicious. Especially since he had wings that only she could see. And then there were Josh and Mason, two gorgeous glimmering-eyed classmates whose interest in her might not be for the reasons she hoped. Not to mention that dead guy she nearly tripped over in gym class.
She was right. Boring took on an entirely new dimension in Fairy, Texas.

I like Paranormal and Fantasy books so I was happy to give this one a try. Gladly, the book did not disappoint me.
The characters in this book and interesting and I especially liked Laney. She’s an all-around good main character.
What I really liked about the book, though, was the plot, the mystery and the way the author put a spin on Fairies.
Fairy, Texas is very well-written and the plot develops easily and nicely. I think the author did a great job with it.
All in all, this is a very interesting and entertaining book. If you like a good paranormal/fantasy story, you should give this book a try!
