Blog Hop (25) & Follow Friday (25)

Book Blogger Hop
The Book Blogger Hop is a meme sponsored by Jennifer at Crazy For Books.

This week's question is:

"What keeps you reading beyond the first few pages of a book, and what makes you want to stop reading a book and put it back on the shelf?"
Well, I normally finish every book I start reading but an inriguing plot with interesting characters will definitely keep me happy. Bad writing and characters with no real emotions will make me want to out the book down.

HI! Welcome to my blog! I am participating in Follow Friday hosted by Parajunkee's View.
Hop on please leave comment, link your blog, and follow, and I will follow you as well.

This week's question is:

"Your favorite book/movie character (example Hermione Granger played by the Emma chick) just walked into the room! Who is it and what would be your first reaction? You get extra points if you include visual stimulation."
This is a hard question! I have read too many books that were later made into movies...
Let's see... This might sound weird but I think I would love to meet Sherlock Holmes, especially the new one played by Benedict Cumberbatch. He would be so fun to talk to! Of course I would probably have to watch out for eveything I did and said because he would surely be analyzing me!

  3. Hi Carla! Thanks for following! Totally agree with your reasoning for why a book is a keeper or a put-downer. Hope you have an awesome weekend! :)

  4. Happy Friday!

It takes a lot to finish every single book you start! Way to go! I don't think I have that kind of persistence.

  7. I don't know why I keep reading a book. It's not the story. It's not the characters. I really don't know!

I didn't used to ever not finish books, but have begun occasionally doing that when it just isn't grabbing me because there are so many books on my to be read list, and more that come out every day! Hope you'll stop by my blog as well! http://misclisa.blogspot.com/
