Review:

I have received this book from the author in exchange of an honest review and I have to say that Snow Spell turned out to be a very original take on an old story.

Snow Spell is a retelling of Snow White. In this story Snow is a poor girl in Paris who one day starts to see gorgeous and mysterious ghosts.

The chapters are told in different points of views: Neve’s, Rosa’s and Jacinta’s. Gladly, it’s easy to identify whose point of view the reader is reading and it made it easy to get to know the characters a little bit better.

The book is also written in poetic style. I know that can sometimes become a little too much but Snow Spell is a short story and very well-written. The scenes are detailed without being over the top, the characters were interesting and the story flowed well. Plus, there are some interesting twists.

All in all, I enjoyed this book and thought it was an interesting and different take on Snow White’s story.  The story is well-written and easy to get lost in.

Even if you’re not a fan of poetry, if you like reading a good fairytale retelling, I think you might enjoy this book.
