My Book Boyfriend is a weekly meme, hosted by Missie at The Unread Reader.
It is a weekly meme where we talk about a literary
crush including stats, a picture of what you imagine he looks like and
some quotes from him that make you swoon. If you are interested in
participating please check out the My Book Boyfriend Introduction Page over at Missie's blog The Unread Reader.
This week my book boyfriend is:
Vladislav Basarah from Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost
Stats
Status: Vlad is a vampire. He's actually the real Dracula but don't call him that because he hates it! He's Lila's love interest.
Age: He's been around for a long, long time!
Height: Tall
Eyes: Black
Hair: Black
More info: Vlad protects what's his. He's very arrogant and sure of himself but he's also extremely charming.
"At first sight he looked like a normal, well-built
man in his thirties, but then hints of his uniqueness showed. His
expresso colored hair was pasr his shoulders - longer than most men
dared, but on him it somehow looked supremely masculine. Black pants
and indigo shirt drapped over muscled that appeared far harder than a
gym membership usually accounted for... His high cheeckbones were
accented by stubble somewhere bewtween five o´clock shadow and a beard,
yet instead of coming across as unkempt, it was rugged and enticing."
"Oh, Leila. Now you're just making yourself irresistible to me, aren't you."
“His teeth flashed in a wicked grin. “Many women wonder, but few find out. I’m very selective in my lovers.”
“Because you’re so special?” I couldn’t help but ask with open sarcasm.
That grin faded and his expression became serious. “Because at points in my life, I’ve lost everything. This house, my other homes, the cars, planes…they’re my possessions, but anyone could own them. My body is the one thing that’s truly mine, so I don’t give it away as though it’s worthless.”"

“Culture Club?” Now his mouth curled downward. “And you accuse me of practicing cruel and unusual punishment."'
““No, I do my torturing in the dungeon like any other respectable castle owner."'
If you're wondering who I imagine Vlad as, Viggo Mortensen or the model Christian Lambelin are my top choices!
What about you? What do you think of Vlad?
Vlad! Oh, that old boy is on fire. hehehe. I loved that he was so selective with his lovers. His reasons why totally made sense. And I really couldn't get enough of his dark humor. I can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteI have this on my shelf but just haven't got round to it yet. I need to get a move on and read it! Love that "No I do my torturing in the dungeon like any other respectable castle owner" quote I like a book boyfriend with a sense of humour.
